Conseil et gestion des rituels du spaA custom WordPress site for a hotel spa consultancy

GRS helps hotels design and run their spa. I built its site from scratch: structure, design, and a WordPress theme written by hand that the team edits without touching the code.

The context

Camille Becht advises and runs the spas of four and five star hotels. The business has two sides: designing spas, with her Spa Profit method, and outsourced management, from extra staff to in-room massages. This side of the business had no site of its own yet. It had to present both, speak to three different profiles (someone starting a project, a hotel that outsources, a hotel with no spa) and above all bring in appointments. An internal brief, a free hand on the design: I ran it all on my own, from the first mockup to the launch. The project started on 17 March 2026 with mockups approved page by page. The site has been online since 1 August 2026.

The goals

  • Give this side of Maison Camille Becht its own presence online, properly indexed

The answer

No page builder, and no generic theme bent into shape. The theme is built for this site only: PHP, CSS and JavaScript written by hand, fonts hosted on the site, stylesheets loaded page by page. It loads only what it needs, and stays steady through every WordPress update.

Every page is made of framed blocks, built with ACF: heading and text, comparison table, testimonials, the steps of the method, contact form. The editor is locked: the team changes a text or a photo, but cannot delete a block or insert one that is foreign to the theme. That is what makes a bespoke site simple to live with day to day. The online assessment, 13 questions and an immediate result, sends every answer to Airtable and triggers the email follow-up.

What I delivered

  • Mockups approved before a single line of code was written
  • A custom WordPress theme, with no parent theme and no page builder
  • 38 locked ACF content blocks, so pages can be edited without touching their structure
  • An online assessment in 13 questions, with an immediate result and answers sent to Airtable
  • The technical SEO: titles and descriptions per page, sitemap, redirects for the merged pages
  • A handover with the team on launch day

Frequently asked questions

What does a site like this cost?

A brochure site built to measure starts at €2,500 excl. VAT. The final price depends on the number of pages, the features asked for and the content to produce. You get a fixed quote before we begin.

Will I be able to edit my site myself?

Yes. Text, photos, pages, posts: everything is changed from the WordPress interface, without code. I run a handover with you on launch day.

Why a custom theme rather than one off the shelf?

An off-the-shelf theme carries hundreds of options you will never use, and every update can move something. A theme written for your site contains only your pages and your blocks. It is faster, and it stays steady over time.

And after launch?

A site needs looking after: updates, backups, small changes. Maintenance starts at €99 excl. VAT per month, with no minimum term. You stop whenever you like, with one month's notice.
