Euphoria HubA members-only space for a Dofus guild, and the Discord bot that publishes its events

Type
Euphoria, a Dofus guild, live
Role
Design, development of the site and the bot, operations
Stack
Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, discord.js, Vercel, Docker
Hosting
Site on Vercel, bot in Docker on my own server, Supabase database

For the Euphoria guild I built a hub you open with your Discord account: events, achievements, profession roadmaps, mount breeding and a gear library. A bot posts every event in Discord and keeps the display up to date as sign-ups come in.

The Euphoria Hub home page once signed in: the upcoming events, then the Events, Achievements, Professions, Breeding, Gear and Admin entries

The problem

Events announced, then forgotten

Raids, achievement hunts, guild outings: every event was one more Discord message, with no reliable list of who had signed up and no reminder. The profession guides and the recommended gear were lost the same way.

What I built

A private hub, mirrored into Discord by a bot

The hub opens with the member's Discord account: the guild decides who gets in. Events are created there, along with achievements, profession roadmaps, breeding and the gear library. The bot posts every event in the dedicated channel, with sign-up buttons, and edits its message on every change. The database is the single source of truth: the bot only reflects it.

What it changes

One list of participants, always current

An event exists in a single place. Whether it was created from the site or from Discord, it shows up everywhere with the same list, updated within fifteen seconds.

What it changes for my clients

A private space with no passwords to manage, opened with an account your members already have, and a messaging app that stays the place where things happen. The site and the bot share a single database: what one changes, the other displays.

Key features

  • Sign in with DiscordNo password to create, belonging to the guild is enough
  • Typed eventsRaid, achievement or guild event, with a date, a number of places and a description; guild events are reserved for leads
  • Automatic publishingThe bot posts the event in Discord and updates the display on every sign-up or edit
  • Profession roadmaps and breedingWhat to level, in which order, and which bloodlines to follow
  • Gear libraryThe guild's reference builds, by class

Safeguards

The hub is closed to anyone who is not a member of the guild's Discord. Permissions are checked on the server, on the site as well as in the bot: a member cannot create a guild event in a lead's place. The bot never acts on its own initiative, it reflects the database. Its secrets stay out of the code.

Very good web designer, attentive to his client and passionate about what he does. I recommend him.

Frequently asked questions

Can the site be seen without an account?

No, and that is deliberate. Only the sign-in page is public. The content belongs to the guild and stays among its members.

Why does the bot only mirror the database?

So that there are never two truths. If a Discord message is deleted, the bot republishes it from the database. If the database changes, the message is edited. No data lives in Discord alone.

Could you build the same thing for another community?

Yes. A private space opened with an account your members already have, and a bot inside your messaging app: the principle holds for an association, a club or a team.
